I've been going to this store my whole life. In recent years, it is far more upscale than before, with many microbrews, a great wine selection, many local wines and spirits and many from around the world, the same goes for the cheese and produce sections. The actual grocery selection is limited, often with only one or two different options for a given product (toilet paper, paper towels, bottled water, etc.) and often priced higher than normal but that is expected in an isolated town that is popular with tourists. Most if my family hates this but I like it because I'm young and single and the tourists are why the delicacies have become so much better!

I have family that lives in Glen Arbor. We visit them frequently. I have been here a million times and I always expect to pay a little more, because thats what it takes to survive in a small town. Don't blame the tourists for driving up the prices. Go to Alpena and the items are the same price in the small stores. The selection is great there. My BIGGEST complaint, and I can say this about most places in Glen Arbor is that all the workers assume you are a tourist. My family pays taxes and contributes to making that area thrive and I am constantly treated like a tourist. Like I am some kind of idiot who is totally inconveniencing everyone who works in that town.

Outstanding small town grocery market. Their recent remodel makes it look even nicer. Aisles are a little tight and the store feels very cramped. Great products. Good prices. Wine section is outstanding.

Good food/deli. Wide and varying selection especially considering it's not a really populous area. They do their own brats around the parade time as well. Staff has always been pleasant.

I have shopped here for several years and have decided that I will not be returning to this grocery store. I spent nearly $400 at this store during my most recent stay in Glen Arbor and the attendant getting the carts threatened to have my car towed for parking in there parking lot and trying to walk next door to the toy store. I explained to him that we have been shopping at this location all week and asked to leave my car for 10 minutes to run next door. He was completely rude to me in front of my wife and kids. Not the way to make friends. I read a similar review and it was the same heavy set gentlemen with a beard that lit into another customer. My family is on vacation and we are not going to deal with this kind of nonsense.
