Cool place!
Good place for a rest stop away from the dunes. Actual historical value of stopping here is not quite as expected, but still interesting.
Michigan Aurora Hunter endorsed location. Great place to photograph, is handicapped accessible before the beach with stone, paved side walks and boardwalks. Great view of the Northern Lights with a variety of possible shots. Historically during the day has to some terrific things to see. At night it is very dark. Please remember aim flashlights at the ground so you don't blind others.
The 3pm rescue demonstration is great for kids.
This was a neat little museum. It was interesting to see how things were done back in the early days
